Filming the second season of the Russian series “Epidemic”

Russian filmmaker Yuri Tyurin is filming a second season of the popular Russian TV series “Epidemic”.

This was reported Thursday, March 25 by 1-2-3 Film Production Company. According to the director, the second season will differ from the first season of the series, just as Heaven is different from Hell.

He said, “The characters of the first season tried to survive the virus. As for the second season of the series, they are looking for places for them in the new changing world.”

He explained, “We departed from the principles on which the first season was based to portray another story of existence.”

It is reported that Russian and foreign viewers and critics highly rated the first season of the Russian series. It was bought by the international Internet platform Netflix, where in the first week of watching the series entered the list of the most popular movies in 56 countries, then the Russian series entered the ranking of the top 10 non-English language series on the Internet platform Netflix.

It is worth noting that the filming of the first season of the series took place long before the outbreak of the global epidemic of Corona virus. It tells the story of a deadly virus spreading from Hong Kong across the entire world.
