A nutritionist talks about what foods lose their benefits when stored in the fridge

Russian nutritionist Christina Goraflyova said it is better not to store salads in the fridge for too long because vegetables lose vitamins quickly.

The expert explained to the channel “Zvezda” of the Russian Ministry of Defense, “The authorities should be seasoned with olive oil and not sunflower oil, as the latter is harmful to the body, and it contains the second acids available in our body, and when cooking it is better to use olive oil and coconut oil.”

The only thing that can be stored in the fridge for a long time and without harm to health is meat and gravy, she said. The amino acids they contain retain their beneficial and nutritional properties even when frozen.

Earlier, experts specified how long to store chicken in the refrigerator, as it was found that cooked chicken can last from three to four days in the refrigerator, and two months to three months in the freezer.

In a related context, the Consumer Protection Center in the German state of Bavaria warned against leaving canned foods in the refrigerator after opening it.
