A bird appealed to a Saudi youth, after a snake attacked its nest, in a clip circulating on social networking sites in the Kingdom.

The young man was driving his car when he saw the female bird, known in Saudi Arabia as “Umm Salem,” repeatedly jumping over her nest, indicating that a danger is attacking her and her chicks.

The young man noticed the calls of “Umm Salem” and got out of his car, holding a stick, saying, “The fear appears (you want to help) … I preach happiness.”

When he approached the nest, he was surprised by a desert snake called “Umm Juneeb”, so he picked it up and moved it away from the nest, reassuring “Umm Salem” by saying “Come.”

The circulating video clip met with great interaction on the communication sites, and everyone praised the courage of the Saudi youth, and his rescue of “Umm Salem” and her chicks.
