On Friday, Tunisian President Qais Saeed issued a presidential pardon for 389 prisoners and reduced sentences for 1,132 others, on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of Independence Day in the country.
According to a statement published by the Tunisian presidency on its Facebook page, this pardon came after President Qais Saeed received the Minister of Justice and members of the Special Pardon Committee at the Carthage Palace.
