NASA has successfully tested the “most powerful rocket” in Space Launch System (SLS).
According to the “BBC”, the engines were running for 8 minutes in the “basic stage” of the missile, which is the time it takes for an SLS missile to reach outer space.
This class of missiles carried American astronauts to the moon in 1972, and was also part of the “Artemis” project of NASA, which was launched by the administration of former US President Donald Trump in 2017.
The rocket launcher consists of an orange core, with four powerful RS-25 engines, and two boosted side engines.
The test took place at the “Stennis” Space Center in Mississippi, at 16:37 EST (20:37 GMT).
