Putin reviews the building of a mosque in the Crimea and promises a “visit soon”

Russian President Vladimir Putin was informed of the stages of building a mosque in the Crimea and promised those in charge of it to visit soon.

Today, Thursday, Putin spoke with representatives of the Crimea and Sevastopol via the video link, and he also spoke with Heydar Ismayilov, Deputy Mufti of the Religious Administration of Crimean Muslims from the location of the mosque construction site, and was informed of the latest developments.

Ismailov said, “In general, construction is nearing completion. Interior and exterior finishes are underway,” and he hoped that the Russian president would participate in the opening of the mosque.

For his part, President Putin promised to visit the mosque.
