Famous American actress, Beyoncé, posted a message of support for the Duchess of Sussex, Megan Markle, and her husband, Prince Harry, two days after the couple met with the famous American journalist, Oprah Winfrey.
“Thank you Megan for your courage and leadership,” wrote Beyoncé below a picture showing her meeting with Meghan and Prince Harry.
She added, “We are all strong and inspired by you.”
Beyoncé also posted a separate post on her website praising 12 women she considered “rule-breakers,” one of whom was Megan, along with Jane Fonda, and Democratic politicians, Stacy Abrams, Maxine Waters, and Alexandrea Ocasio-Cortez. The women who created their own way of telling their stories, found other ways to get to the interfaces, and broke every rule in the process, we see you! We salute each of you on this International Women’s Day. “It is noteworthy that the first time that Yunus met with Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry, was during the premiere of the movie “The Lion King”, in June 2019.
Beyoncé’s statement comes after the Duchess of Sussex Markle made painful and shocking confessions in her interview with the journalist, Oprah Winfrey, through which she revealed that there were concerns within the British royal family about the color of her baby’s complexion, Archie, before his birth, and after Megan said she sensed that she was Shunned in the family.
Harry, 36, and his wife Megan, 39, abandoned their royal duties in January 2020, and moved with their first son, Archie, to Southern California, USA, for a more independent life and away from the British media.
