Protesters pelted the car of Argentine President Alberto Fernandez during his visit to the southern province of Chubut, Todo Noticias TV reported.
The channel broadcast footage showing angry protesters surrounding a car in which Fernandez was traveling, knocking in their hands and screaming, while a number of them threw stones at it, causing one of its windows to shattered, without causing injuries.
The demonstrators were protesting against a large mining project supported by the governor of Chubut Mariano Arsoni, as the country’s president arrived in the province to inspect areas affected by fires.
