Two lions kill and eat a safari watcher

An observer of a “safari” park in South Africa, Malibungwe Mvila, 27, was killed after two lions ambushed him and killed him while he was following the tracks of a pair of leopards.
The observer was singlehandedly exploring 22,000 hectares of land in his car at Marataba Safari Lodge in Marakele National Park, looking for signs of specific animals.

The spokesman for the South African police, Brigadier Mutlavela Mugabello, confirmed that the young observer was attacked and killed by the lions, who were later shot.

He said, “The observer was busy driving in the jungle looking for animals such as elephants and lions in order to inform the guides of their whereabouts.”

The police spokesman added that another driver in the park spotted the two lions while they were still eating the body of the observing employee, called for help, and shot the two lions.

For his part, a spokesman for National Parks in South Africa, Reynold Thackoli, explained the incident, saying: “The observer was tracking wildlife as part of his usual duties when he was killed .. He was following the paths of a leopard, and it seems that he got off the car and walked 20 meters, only when he came across Two male lions suddenly attacked and killed him. ”

The “Marataba” park administration confirmed that the two young lions had been mercilessly killed, and that an autopsy had been carried out.
