Bed bugs disrupt the readiness of an American nuclear submarine

39

The USS Connecticut nuclear submarine was invaded by bed bug armies.

This was reported by the US Navy Times website, which said that insects entered the submarine during the ICEX-2020 military maneuvers in which the submarine participated in the Arctic Ocean.

After that, the submarine crew members were trying for months to poison the insects and expel them from the submarine using innovative tools. But all their attempts were unsuccessful.

In fact, every night the bugs began to flog the bodies of every sailor, the assistant chief of the submarine crew said.

The large-scale clearance operation on the submarine did not begin until last February, as the leadership did not first authenticate reports from crew members due to the lack of clear evidence of bugs in the submarine.

As a result of crawling insects, the sailors were forced to sleep on chairs, which caused permanent exhaustion and fatigue among the crew members and threatened the readiness of the submarine.
