Two European countries decided to suspend the use of the British-Swedish company “AstraZeneca” vaccine against the Corona virus as a precaution that comes after reports of clots appearing in the blood of a number of those who underwent vaccination.
The health authority in Denmark confirmed today, Thursday, the suspension of the use of the vaccine developed by “AstraZeneca” in cooperation with the University of Oxford for two weeks after the death of a person who received a dose of it and later developed a blood clot.
The head of the authority, Soren Prostom, stated that it and the Danish Medicines Agency must respond to reports of potentially dangerous complications of the vaccine coming from Denmark and other European countries. In turn, the Danish Minister of Health, Magnus Heunik, wrote on his Twitter account that experts are now investigating whether there is any link between those clots and the vaccine.

Meanwhile, Geir Bokholm, Director of Infectious Disease Prevention and Control at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, announced during a press conference that his country is taking similar precautionary measures.
This comes only four days after Austria suspended the use of the “AstraZeneca” vaccine, after the death of a woman who received a dose of it after suffering a blood clot.
In turn, Spain announced today that it has not detected any clots in the blood of those who were vaccinated with the “AstraZeneca” vaccine and continues to follow the matter.
Today, AstraZeneca is the most popular vaccine in the world in terms of the number of countries that agree to use it.
