The American “CNN” network reported that the Duchess of Sussex Megan Markle had filed a formal complaint with the British “ITV” channel about the comments of the broadcaster Pierce Morgan about her.
The network quoted unidentified sources today, Wednesday, that Markle had filed a formal complaint with the British “ITV” channel about Morgan’s comments about her, after the interview that Prince Harry and Prince Harry had with the American broadcaster Oprah Winfrey.
The sources indicated to the American Network, that “the complaint is not related to Morgan’s personal attacks against Megan, but rather about the impact that Morgan’s comments can have on others and how it can reduce the seriousness of mental health issues.”
On Monday, Morgan said on his show: “I couldn’t believe a single word” of what the Duchess said in her interview with Oprah Winfrey about her mental health, and that she suffered from suicidal tendencies.
The channel indicated that the Communications Regulatory Authority in Britain (Ofcom) received more than 41,000 complaints in this regard, and this is the second largest number of complaints received by the Authority in the 17 years of its establishment. And criticized the “Mind Charitable” Foundation, which deals with mental health, and the channel’s partner in its campaigns on mental health, Morgan’s comments, describing them as “disappointing.”
