Lady Gaga unveils first look at movie comeback with Star Wars’ Adam Driver

Lady Gaga has revealed the first look at her movie comeback, and it seems that she and her co-star Adam Driver have undertaken a real transformation for their roles.

Singer and actress Gaga, who made her movie debut in Oscar-winning A Star is Born, will play Patrizia Reggiani in biographical crime drama House of Gucci, while Star Wars actor Driver is portraying her ex-husband and former Gucci head Maurizio Gucci.

The first-look image, which Gaga shared  (March 9), features the pair all dressed up in stylish ski gear, with Gaga wearing a fluffy white hat and Driver sporting a thick pair of glasses and a classic sweater around the waist.

House of Gucci is directed by Ridley Scott of Alien and Gladiator fame and will tell the story of the real-life Gucci family fashion dynasty.

It is expected to focus on the murder of Maurizio Gucci, the grandson of the Gucci brand founder Guccio Gucci, and what subsequently happened to his ex-wife Patrizia, who was tried and convicted for orchestrating his assassination in 1995.

Patrizia was sentenced to 29 years in prison but she was released in 2016 after serving 18 years.

House of Gucci also boasts Al Pacino, Jeremy Irons, Suicide Squad’s Jared Leto and Fargo star Jack Huston among its very starry cast.

The movie is based on Sara G Forden’s book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed and is being produced by Ridley and Giannina Scott and Kevin Walsh.

Further details are currently scarce but with filming now under way, hopefully we will soon be getting more details and further looks at the movie’s costumes, which will no doubt be incredible.

House of Gucci is currently due for release in November 2021.
