UEFA Punishes a Romanian Judgment by Suspension Due to “Racism”

The European Football Association “UEFA” suspended the fourth Romanian referee Sebastian Koltisco until the end of the season for his behavior during the dismissal of Pierre Weibo, Istanbul’s assistant coach Basaksehir in the Champions League.

The French Paris Saint-Germain match and its Turkish guest Basaksehir, which was held on December 8 in the final round of Group Eight matches of the group stage of the UEFA Champions League, was suspended after the guest team’s players refused to complete the meeting and left the “Princes Garden” stadium at the 16th minute. Following racist statements made by the fourth match referee Sebastian Koltisco, the assistant coach of the Turkish team, former Cameroon national team player Pierre Weibo.

The meeting continued the next day after the four Roman governors were replaced.
Weibo said that Koltisco insulted him by referring to him as a “black person” and that “UEFA” had opened an investigation into the incident.

UEFA said in a statement today, Monday, that Koltisco was suspended for “inappropriate behavior” during the match and obligated to undergo an educational program before June 30, 2021.

Koltisco defended himself, explaining: “Negru means black in Romanian … I am not a racist.”
