The Pope of the Vatican – Pope Francis – arrived in Baghdad today, Friday, at the start of a historic four-day visit to Iraq, which is the first papal visit to Iraq.

The Pope’s historic visit to Iraq comes as part of an initiative to preserve ancient Christian communities in Iraq.
The former director of the al-Baghdadi museum and a tourist expert, Jasim Sadkhan, told Radio Sputnik:
