Golden Globes: Cynthia Erivo exudes glamour in green gown

She was nominated at last year’s Golden Globes for Best Actress for her role in Harriet.

And Cynthia Erivo ensured all eyes were on her as she attended the 78th annual Golden Globe Awards at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on Sunday.

The actress, 34, turned heads as she walked the red carpet in a fluorescent green sleeveless gown.

The garment featured a high collar while Cynthia added further style to her look with a pair of cream gloves.

Striking a series of poses as she arrived at the star-studded ceremony, the film star also sported a pair of floral earrings.

Cynthia was nominated at last year’s Golden Globes for Best Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama for her role as Harriet Tubman in Harriet.

The awards were originally due to take place in early January but the ceremony was postponed until Sunday February 28 as Hollywood continues to adjust to the coronavirus pandemic and new safety guidelines.

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey have returned as hosts for the fourth time after previously doing the honour in 2013, 2014 and 2015.

The Golden Globes 2021 is the first time the awards show has been broadcast from two separate coasts with the nominees announced virtually.

Fey, 50, is broadcasting from atop New York City’s Rockefeller Center in the Rainbow Room and Poehler, 49, in Los Angeles at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where the ceremony is usually held annually.

Nominees will be tuning into the ceremony remotely but presenters have been asked to appear in person.

The impressive list of presenters this year includes Joaquin Phoenix, Kristen Wiig, Renee Zellweger, Awkwafina, Cynthia and Annie Mumolo.

While Kevin Bacon, Sterling K. Brown, Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Margot Robbie, Tiffany Haddish, Anthony Anderson, Kate Hudson and Kenan Thompson also make up the star-studded line-up.
