The French judiciary issues its verdict on Monday against Sarkozy in the case of eavesdropping and bribery

The French judiciary will announce, on Monday, in the capital, Paris, its verdict against former President Nicolas Sarkozy in the case of wiretapping and bribery, after his appearance in court last December.

At the time, the public prosecutor had demanded 4 years in prison, two of which were suspended, against Sarkozy, who was 66 years old, while his lawyer called for his release.

But Sarkozy’s troubles with the judiciary will not end in this case, regardless of the ruling issued in it, as he remains on a date with a second trial on March 17th in the “Bigmalion” case, in which he is accused of corruption and abuse of power.Right-wing President Nicolas Sarkozy, who denies the accusations against him stressing that he has never committed “the slightest corrupt behavior,” sentenced France between 2007 and 2012.
