Britain … A mathematics doctor uses Twitter to solve his daughter’s homework

Dr. Keith Yates, co-director of the Mathematical Biology Center at the University of Bath in Britain, shared on his official Twitter page his seven-year-old daughter’s homework to find out the correct answer.

Yates asked social media users to help him solve his daughter’s homework about whether or not there are two right angles to the half of the circle, with an explanation of the answer, according to the British newspaper “Daily Mail”.

“He could not independently find the correct answer to the problem and seek help from social media users,” Yates said.

Where a semicircle appears in the picture, and what is required is the answer with “true or false? About the semicircle if it has two right angles, with an explanation of the answer.”

“I’m not kidding, I seriously don’t know how to tell her the answer,” Yates complained.

Technically, Yates explained, a semicircle has two right angles if we take into account the position of the shadows at the corner, but he is not sure of the correct answer he gives to his daughter at this age.

Later, Yates published the “correct” solution, saying, “The semicircle has no right angles.”

Yates also said that this question could be studied later. This is not the best option for children at the age of seven.

“He has no complaints about his daughter’s teacher, and he has promised to analyze the problem with his students in the university classroom,” Yates said.
