Australian ewe carrying a 40 kg sofa

42

Australian environmental experts discovered a wild ewe in the suburbs of Canberra that can be considered the most woolen sheep in the world, as the weight of the wool it carried was about 40 kilograms.
The length of the wool that covered the two sides of the sheep was 47 cm.

The sheep shearer, Jan Alkins, who was called to shear the sheep, said that the body of the animal that left the herd five years ago had turned into felt. He added that the 4 or 5-year-old sheep was too enlarged to walk and was on the verge of death.

The process of shearing the sheep took 45 minutes. And then the ewe lost half of its weight.

The British Associated Press said that a 40-kilogram wool fleece would be enough to knit 30 sweaters.

The head of the Canberra Animal Protection Organization announced that he intends to record the achievement in the Guinness Book of Records.
