The 22-year-old model – who is the daughter of the late pop star Michael Jackson – thinks society is “on the brink of a huge awakening” and she’s glad to be alive at this particular point in history.
She reflected: “I am happy to be alive during this time of human rights and feminism. I feel like we are on the brink of a huge awakening.”
Paris is determined to use her fame to promote the causes she’s passionate about, such as environmental issues and animal rights.
She told C magazine: “I don’t really see the point of having such a [big social media] platform if it’s just going to be about me, me, me the whole time.
“I want to leave this place a better world than when I came into it, use my platform to uplift causes, whether it be the environment, animal rights, human rights, feminism.”
Paris previously admitted to being fearful about the idea of living her life in the public eye.
However, the model eventually recognised that she could actually leverage her fame to make a meaningful difference in the world.
She said: “I honestly used to have no motivation whatsoever to be in the public eye; it scared me.
“But after a long time of thinking, I started to really see the kind of impact I already have on people, how I was born with a platform, and I didn’t want to waste it.”
Paris is now keen to grow her platform in order to have an even bigger influence.
She explained: “Everything that I’m doing – the acting, the modelling – it’s all just to grow my platform so I can use my voice for things that matter.”
