Game of Thrones’ Lena Headey stars in new look at upcoming movie

Two guns are better than one for Lena Headey in the new image from shoot-’em-up thriller Gunpowder Milkshake.

The Game of Thrones star plays a hitwoman named Scarlet here, who abandoned her daughter Sam (MCU regular Karen Gillan) at an early age.

Could she be going out in a blaze of glory? We’ll have to wait and see.

Gunpowder Milkshake is a female-driven project also featuring Carla Gugino, Michelle Yeoh and Angela Bassett, while Paul Giamatti and Ralph Ineson star in supporting roles.

In the film, Sam is raised by a crime syndicate known as The Firm and follows in her mother’s footsteps by becoming a gun-for-hire.

When a job goes awry, she must choose between The Firm and protecting an innocent 8-year-old girl (Chloe Coleman).

Soon enough, the three generations of women must learn to trust each other and stand up to The Firm – raising hell against those who threaten to take everything from them.

So yeah, it’s definitely up there as one of the most exciting upcoming releases.
