The death of the Egyptian artist, Izzat Al-Alayli, at the age of 86

The great Egyptian artist, Izzat Al-Alayli, passed away today, Friday, at the age of 86.

His son, Mahmoud Al-Alaili, said in a post on the social networking site “Facebook”: “This morning, the father of the artist, Izzat Al-Alayli, passed away. The funeral prayer is held after the afternoon prayer at Al-Marwa Mosque next to Dreamland Hospital.”The artist Ashraf Zaki, the captain of the acting professions, mourned and posted a picture of the late artist through his account on the “Instagram” application, and commented on it, saying, “Stay for God the knight of Arab drama.”

Al-Alayli obtained a BA in the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in 1960, but he did not start his acting career immediately after graduation due to his care for his four sisters after the death of his father, so he worked for a while as a TV programmer, before the opportunity came to him through the movie (Message from an Unknown Woman) in 1962, which was like His cinematic beginning.

After that, his works diversified to participate in dozens of films and television, and one of his most important roles was in the movie (The Land) in 1970 directed by Youssef Chahine.

Among his most prominent works are (The Road to Eilat, People of the Summit, Mansouriya, Al-Tout and Al-Naboot), and in the theater he participated in several plays, the most important of which are (Welcome, Ya Bakwat, Village Revolution).
