Dubai – (East):
The Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, on Tuesday, that it is committed to resolving the border crisis with neighboring Sudan, by peaceful means, by activating the mechanisms of the border demarcation process.

The Ethiopian News Agency quoted a spokesman for the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dina Mufti, as saying that his country “will follow a win-win approach in the issue of the border dispute with Sudan.”

Mufti said that his country informed the Sudanese side that the recent trend witnessed by the border areas “will not benefit the two countries,” warning that “conflict and war are destructive to African countries in general, and the two neighboring countries in particular.”

Regarding the Renaissance Dam file, the Mufti said earlier that “the country’s president, Sahlurk Zodi, conveyed Ethiopia’s position on the trilateral talks with Egypt and Sudan, during her recent visit to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, which will assume the presidency of the African Union in 2021.”
