A draft decision of the federal government revealed that German Chancellor Angela Merkel wants to extend the general lockdown measures to combat the outbreak of the Corona virus until February 15, in addition to requiring residents to wear masks in public transport and stores, according to Reuters.
The draft decision, seen by Reuters, suggested continuing school closures until mid-February and increasing aid to companies affected by the extension of the general closure. It also suggested forming a working group to determine how to end these procedures in a safe and fair manner.
On Tuesday, the German Chancellor is expected to meet with local officials to discuss measures to limit the spread of the Corona virus in the country, to decide on the matter of extending the closure.
