US security officials are investigating allegations of plans to sell a stolen Pelosi computer to Russia
Politico said the FBI is investigating with testimony that the woman who stole Nancy Pelosi’s laptop, during the Capitol riots, had planned to sell it to Russian intelligence.
According to the arrest warrant directed by the Bureau of Investigation to the court, against Riley John Williams, an eyewitness told the security men that he had seen the aforementioned woman removing the laptop or hard disk from the office of US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi.
The witness claims that “Williams was planning to send the device to her friend in Russia, to sell it to the Russian Foreign Intelligence.” But for some reason the process to send the device to Russia failed, and the computer is still in Williams’ possession or has been destroyed.
A source in the Bureau of Investigation told the newspaper, that the investigation is still continuing in this case.
According to the source, Williams, a resident of Pennsylvania, is still in hiding.
The local police said, the woman packed her bag, and told her mother that she would leave for two weeks without saying her destination.
