Russia expels Dutch diplomats in response to a similar match

Moscow – (Reuters):

The Russian Foreign Ministry expelled two Dutch diplomats, in response to the expulsion of Russian diplomats from The Hague last December for espionage.

The Netherlands accused the Russians of spying on the Dutch high-tech sector. At the time, the Russian embassy in The Hague said that the Netherlands had not provided evidence of the two Russian diplomats’ illegal actions.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that the expulsion decision was based on the principle of reciprocity, and that the diplomats should leave Russia within two weeks.
