The family of the late Omar Khorshid receives condolences in him, 40 years after his death!

Ihab Khorshid, the brother of the late Egyptian guitarist Omar Khorshid, sparked controversy by announcing that the family would receive condolences for his late brother 40 years after his death.

Ihab Khorshid wrote on Facebook: “The family accepts the duty of condolence in their home in Heliopolis … God have mercy on you, Omar.”

Omar Khorshid died on May 29, 1981, as a result of a traffic accident at the end of Haram Street next to Mina House and in front of Khristo Restaurant after he finished working in a major hotel, and he was accompanied by his Lebanese wife Dina.

He worked with many artists, most notably Muhammad Abdel Wahab, Farid Al-Atrash, Abdel Halim Hafez, and Umm Kulthum.

He started his cinematic career with a role in the movie “My Dear Daughter”, directed by Helmy Rafla in 1971, and co-starring Najat Al Saghira and Rushdi Abaza, and his first absolute starring with the actress Sabah was in the movie “The Guitar of Love”.
