A government official in India said that 52 people who were vaccinated with the Coronavirus vaccine had side effects during the vaccination campaign that began on Saturday.
He explained that the side effects are generally mild for 51 people, while only one person who works as a guard in a medical institution in southern New Delhi suffers from relatively serious symptoms, including severe shortness of breath, heart palpitations and headache, and he is currently in intensive care.
India relies on vaccinating its citizens on two local vaccines. Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a few days ago that his country is ready to provide them to the world in order to “save humanity”, as he said, from the epidemic.
The Indian authorities announced that they have decided that the Republic of Nepal, whose foreign minister is visiting New Delhi, will be among the first to receive her vaccines, as they will explain this in a special schedule next week.
