Ethiopia: The army killed a former foreign minister who refused to surrender

Addis Ababa – (Reuters):

Ethiopia announced, Wednesday, that the army has killed 3 members of the former ruling party in Tigray, including former Ethiopian Foreign Minister Seyoum Mesfin.

The government force in charge of dealing with the Tigrayan crisis said on “Twitter” that the three officials of the TPLF had killed and arrested 5 other members of the front after they refused to surrender to the army.

The government of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed declared victory in the conflict with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Tigrayans on November 28, after battles that lasted about a month.
