Benghazi – (Reuters):
The director of Hariqa port, east of Libya, said, on Wednesday, that the guards of the oil facilities at the port had blocked loading a shipment of one million barrels, as they pressed to implement their demands regarding wages.
The guards in the port of Harika, where the stelae and bed crude is being loaded, is organizing a sit-in that lasted until this morning, according to one of the guards and director of the port Rajab Sahnoun, stressing that they will prevent crude exports until their demands regarding the payment of late wages are met.
A local freight forwarder said the unipec trade company Olympic Fighter tanker had been scheduled to carry the million barrels. There was no immediate comment from Libya’s National Oil Corporation, which manages production and exports across the country.
