Katie Holmes has confirmed her relationship with Emilio Vitolo on Instagram

Katie Holmes has made her relationship with Emilio Vitolo Instagram official, after re-sharing a loved-up photo of herself with her new boyfriend celebrating her recent 42nd birthday.

The actress can be seen laughing as she sits on Vitolo’s lap in the black and white picture, which 33-year-old Vitolo had previously shared on his account.

The son of Italian-born chef Emilio Vitolo Sr. also professed his love for Holmes in the caption, writing: “The most amazing, kindest, beautiful person. Every time I see your face it makes me smile. Happy Birthday!!! I love you!!”

Vitolo grew up working in his father’s famous NYC restaurant, Ballato, and now runs the popular eatery with his two brothers.

The couple have been photographed together in New York on several occasions, but haven’t commented on their relationship up until now. Holmes was pictured kissing Vitolo on a bench in New York City, and having lunch with him and his dad, Vitolo Sr., at the family restaurant.

Meanwhile, Vitolo is pretty comfortable amongst A-listers. His restaurant is popular with celebrities including Lenny Kravitz, Joe Jonas, and Rihanna, and the Italian and Peruvian chef has also dipped his foot in the acting world. He has appeared in series such as Royal Pains and Inside Amy Schumer, and will star alongside Ewan McGregor and Val Kilmer in upcoming film The Birthday Cake.

Meanwhile, Holmes was previously in a relationship with Oscar-winner Jamie Foxx. She was married to Tom Cruise, with whom she has 14-year-old daughter Suri Cruise.
