Rebel Wilson shows off her 60lb weight loss while ice skating in NYC

As Rebel Wilson’s ‘year of health’ draws to a close in just a few short weeks, the Bridesmaids actress is showing off her continued transformation after shedding 60 pounds.

On Sunday, the 40-year-old Australian-born comedienne and her pal Annachi were seen engaging in some festive fun – New York City style – as they skated around the ice rink at Rockefeller Center.

Only landing back in the states a few days ago after boosting her weight loss journey at the Vivamayr Altaussee luxury medical spa in Austria, Wilson leaned into the holiday spirit in a pair of skin tight red pants.

Her toned figure on display after reaching her goal weight of 165 pounds, Wilson beamed from ear-to-ear as she removed her face mask for a socially distanced photo on the ice.

In a video set to Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree, Wilson glided around the ice in a cozy Gucci cardigan and Gucci printed face mask with a grey beret over her blonde tresses.

Feeling grateful the other day for taking the year to focus on her continued health Rebel wrote on social media:

‘I’m going to start 2021 in an amazing place, with a healthy body and mind…and boosted immune system!’

She continue to say, ‘Now on to maintaining the weight loss and the healthy lifestyle!,’ which she has credited to daily exercise that includes predominantly walking with some weight training, as well as making changes to her diet.

‘I want you guys to know that the majority of the exercise that I’ve done this year has just been me going out for a walk,’ she said. ‘That is free, you can do it, it’s safe,’ she said on an Instagram live.

She continued, ‘Walking is the best way for me—for my body type—to metabolize fat…get out there and walk. If you can do an hour, that’s what I like to do, when I go walking, and it is the best. Just get your body moving,’ she told her followers.

Now fueling her body with high alkaline rich foods like vegetables and fish, she has been following a plan loosely based on the ‘Mayr Cure’ diet which was created in 1901, crediting the Austrian medical spa for keeping her on track.

‘It’s an approach that eliminates food intolerances, reduces sugar, encourages eating whole foods slowly, boosts the immune system and reduces inflammation,’ a source close to Wilson shared with People magazine.

Wilson has acknowledged the privilege she has in being able to leverage the best trainers and dieticians while on her journey, but has really said that it has come down to finding self-love.

‘I think I was emotional eating, and overeating at times, because I wasn’t loving myself enough either. And it does come down to that self-worth and self-love,’ she said.

Adding that she used to consume up to 3000 calories a day of mostly carbs, she said that even now she does give herself grace and allows herself to cheat every now and then.

‘I never really focused on my health, which was probably obvious. I was going all around the world jet-setting everywhere, and eating a ton of sugar. That was kind of my vice,’ she told Drew Barrymore on a recent episode of her show.

Now equipped with a lot of new knowledge and a new outlook, she tries to stick to under 1500 calories a day currently with lots of water to keep her hydrated.
