The Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC) is officially underway. The month-long initiative was founded by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and aims to energize the city by urging residents to maintain healthier and more active lifestyles. Sheikh Hamdan, who has been actively encouraging individuals to participate in the challenge, now wants them to get involved in the upcoming Dubai Ride cycle event on November 20, as part of the DFC.

The Dubai Ride will see one of the busiest roads in Dubai, the Sheikh Zayed Road, turned into a cycle track. For the first time ever, residents will be able to cycle along Sheikh Zayed Road as it will be closed to traffic on November 20. The Crown Prince of Dubai, also known as Fazza, took to Twitter to promote the event, asking people to join him for the cycle ride through the city’s extraordinary landmarks.

The Dubai Ride is open to cyclists of all abilities, who are invited to participate in the event, where they can choose from two routes; a four-kilometer family ride and a 14km open ride.
